An annual report is an opportunity to create a narrative that captures the heart and soul of an organization. Just as no organization is one-dimensional, so too must the story about that organization reflect its many attributes. Nowhere are those attributes more poignantly expressed than in the words of those who live the mission, vision and values of the organization day after day.

But pulling those diverse points of view together into a whole that reveals the best of an organization is more art than science, requiring a bit of diplomacy, a steady hand, and an open mind. But mostly an awful lot of listening. Because it's hard to get the essence of an organization from the outside in, but that's where we shine.
